“GO FIGURE” MENU LETS YOU LOOK LIKE A FASHION PLATE

5 years, 1 month ago Comments Off on “GO FIGURE” MENU LETS YOU LOOK LIKE A FASHION PLATE

After a summer of loose fitting sundresses and maxi-dresses to hide the sins of too many poolside libations and nibbling, fall is here to straighten us out with pencil skirts, leather pants, and body-snugging ensembles. But do not despair my dear fashionistas, our friends at Neiman Marcus are looking out for our figures.

The fashion powerhouse has now added “Go Figure” items, with full nutritional information listed, to its NM Café menu. The Café now includes calorie counts listed for each menu item as well gluten free items are noted on the menu, and full nutritional information for every item is available upon request.

Even though the “Go Figure” items are low in calories they are definitely not low on taste. At 220 calories the Tuscan Chicken and Vegetable Soup was full of vegetables that hadn’t lost their crunch, swimming in a flavorful tomato broth.

A real crowd pleaser in the salad department is the Grilled Lemon Shrimp and Romaine Hearts that is accompanied by a palate-pleasing mint, pine nut, goat cheese and quinoa salad, asparagus, and pomegranate vinaigrette for a mere 490 calories. Coming in at 480 calories, the “Go Figure” Roast Turkey Italian Melt is a flavor sensation with fresh mozzarella, grilled red pepper, arugula, and a zesty pesto.

As for gluten free entrees, the Vegetarian Pasta was a plate-licking success. Loaded with artichokes, asparagus, tomato, herbs, and fresh mozzarella it was delicious in spite of the gluten free pasta and, even better, it only has 750 calories. There’s even a gluten free Chicken Paillard dish that magically comes in at only 490 calories. How? We don’t know but will be happy to try it out while we are shopping for everything on our wish list for fall.
