For the past 10 years the Las Vegas Philharmonic’s “Star Spangled Spectacular” has been held in Summerlin. This year the concert has moved and will be held in the amphitheater at the Springs Preserve. Please note in the past, the event has featured fireworks as seen in this photo, however, this year following the Springs Preserve’s “green” focus, a light show will replace fireworks.
The place where Las Vegas began will be the setting for a patriotic musical celebration of America’s birth, as the Springs Preserve hosts the Las Vegas Philharmonic’s “Star Spangled Spectacular” this Independence Day. Attendees will be able to celebrate the birth of our nation with a fun and rousing line-up of patriotic music under the direction of Conductor David Itkin.
“We’re thrilled to present Las Vegas’ favorite patriotic musical program at the Springs Preserve for the first time,” said Las Vegas Philharmonic Vice President Jeri Crawford. “I can’t think of a more beautiful setting to celebrate our nation’s birthday with music.” For the past decade, the concert was held at the Hills Park in Summerlin.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the concert will begin at 8 p.m. in the Springs Preserve’s outdoor amphitheater. A light show will accompany the performance’s finale rather than fireworks as in the past. Tickets are limited and available for purchase online at www.springspreserve.org and at the Springs Preserve box office.
Tickets are available in three levels: assigned amphitheater seating is $27.50 per person; grounds passes, which include non-seated access to the concert venue, are available at $17.50 per person; and VIP Packages, at $82.50 per person, include a pre-concert VIP reception in the ORIGEN Rotunda and an exclusive tabled seating area in the amphitheater.
Springs Preserve annual passholders receive a discount of $7.50 off VIP or reserved amphitheater seating. Children 12 and under receive $7.50 off amphitheater seating or grounds pass (cannot be combined with passholder discount). VIP and Amphitheater seat assignments will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning at 6 p.m. on July 4. Please bring your printed ticket with you.
No fireworks, smoking, outside food, beverages or chairs will be allowed on the premises. Food and beverages will be available both at amphitheater concession areas and the Springs Cafe by Wolfgang Puck.
The Springs Preserve is located at Valley View Boulevard and U.S. 95. For more information or to purchase tickets, call (702) 822-7705.
