Bernard’s Bistro at The Village Lake Las Vegas pays tribute to Sinatra
Chef E. Bernard, owner and executive chef at Bernard’s Bistro, pays tribute to Frank Sinatra with a themed evening of elegance celebrating “Ol’ Blue Eyes” on Saturday, December 12 beginning at 7 p.m. Singer and pianist LeNae Huff will perform classic Sinatra favorites as guests enjoy a special five-course meal of signature items that the legend himself enjoyed.
Menu items include tartelette with roasted onion confit and truffle amandine, smoked salmon roses with belgian endives and onion caviar, flamed armaniac chateaubriand with parisian potatoes, chicken breast stuffed with apricot and goat cheese over chestnut mashed potatoes, chocolate soufflé with cream and chocolate sauce and espresso crème brulee. The outdoor patio will feature a special al a carte menu.
Station Casinos and Fiesta buffets celebrate Hanukkah with featured holiday dishes
All Station Casinos and Fiesta buffets are highlighting traditional Hanukkah dishes in addition to the regular buffet items during the Festival of Lights. Guests can celebrate the season with all-you-can eat spreads featuring items like smoked whitefish, gefilte fish, beef brisket and beet and mandarin orange salad starting at sundown on Friday, December 11th thru Saturday, December 19. Other Hanukkah favorites available include matzo ball soup, challah, potato latkes and assorted holiday donuts. The Hanukkah buffet is offered during lunch, brunch and dinner. Normal buffet prices apply.
A Wynning combination of pastry chefs
Concluding a 16-week series at Whole Foods Town Square featuring the chefs of Wynn Las Vegas and Encore are Frederic Robert and Pierre Gatel. On Tuesday, December 15 from 6 to 8 p.m., the pastry chefs will present a cooking class on “Holiday Cookie and Candy Couture” using their favorite recipes and Whole Foods products.
Garfield’s Restaurant on the Lake hosts Winemaker Dinner
On Tuesday, December 15th at 6 p.m. Chef Jean-David Groff-Daudet will prepare a four-course winemaker dinner. John Matthew Smith of Wirtz Beverage Nevada will be presenting the wines. Dishes will include a Napa Salad with Scottish Salmon, Fresh Corn Pancake with Seared Foie Gras & Cranberry Sauce, Wild Mushrooms on Aborio Risotto, Organic Chicken Breast stuffed with Lobster Meat with a Chardonnay Sauce, Tarragon & Fresh Tomatoes. For dessert, he will serve his now-famous Nutella & Candied Orange Cupcakes, a Mini Crème Brulee and a Mini Pumpkin Tart.
Wines will include a Carneros Sparkling “Damask Rose” from Taittinger, a Don Olegario Albarino 2006 from Spain, a Benziger Carneros Chardonnay 2007, a Moulin a Vent Beaujolais “Chateau des Jacques” 2006 from Louis Jadot and a St. Francis “Old Vines” Zinfandel Sonoma County 2006.
The dinner, including all wines, is $75 per person plus tax and gratuity. Diners will have a lakeside view from the Garfield’s patio.
