10th Annual Fashion Show Celebrates “The Gift of Black Design”

The Las Vegas Chapter of The Links, Inc. held its 10th Annual Fashion Show and Luncheon celebrating “The Gift of Black Design” at the International Peace Education Center.

The annual event benefits the non-profit organization, which provides college scholarships funds community service programs. Womenswear by Barbara Bates and Gheri LeGree were featured, as was a variety of menswear from Tuxedo Junction.

The Links, Inc. is international organization established in 1946. The membership consists of more than 15,000 professional and diverse women in 284 chapters across 41 states, the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.

Guests at the eighth anniversary celebration gathered under the boughs of “Absinthe’s” Electric Oak art installation, which has 120,000 LED leaves that change color to music.
The meal included ladybug cake pops.

Those attending the Grand Tasting sipped wine and sampled delectables from food stations manned in part by UNLV students, who received college credit.
