Around Town – Absinthe Marks a Milestone

“Absinthe” celebrated eight years of amazing feats, comedy and burlesque on April Fool’s Day. Following the circus variety show’s special performance, invited guests were treated to the debut of the “Absinthe” Electric Oak. The 35-foot art installation tree now holds center court outside of the show’s spiegeltent at Caesars Palace. After remarks by Spiegelworld founder Ross Mollison, “Absinthe” host Gazillionaire was the first “Tree-J” playing music while manning the controls of the tree’s 120,000 LED color-changing leaves. Attendees and cast members partied the night away sipping specialty cocktails from an open bar and dining on mini-tacos, paella, cake and more.

Among the first set of headliners at Kaos, Cardi B sang until 4 a.m.
Guests at the eighth anniversary celebration gathered under the boughs of “Absinthe’s” Electric Oak art installation, which has 120,000 LED leaves that change color to music.
The meal included ladybug cake pops.
