The Las Vegas Fashion Council held its artLIVE! fundraiser on Oct. 19 at Zappos downtown. The fifth annual event raised more than $15,000 for the council’s scholarship fund. Local artists did live paintings, with custom, hand-painted pieces later auctioned. A runway show featured fashions by students and local designers. Guests sampled cocktails and hors d’oeuvres provided by Zappos, listened to sounds by DJ Jamal, and bid on silent auction items from Dee Berkley, Neiman Marcus, Kendra Scott Jewelry, Stitched and others. For their support of the fashion and arts community, the fashion council also honored Stitched (fashion visionary) and the Neon Museum (art visionary).

A highlight of the evening was when runway model Andres Arzola received a standing ovation after Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada and the council teamed up to fulfill his wish of being a fashion show model.
