Black and White Party

Aid for AIDS of Nevada returned to the Hard Rock Hotel on Aug. 10 for its 33rd annual “Black & White Party.” From elaborate costumes to barely-there ensembles, more than 3,000 guests in black-and-white fashions packed The Joint for an evening of entertainment, food and fun. Hosted by local philanthropist Greg Chase and returning mistress of ceremonies Norma Llyaman, partygoers danced to beats by DJ Axis
and took in performances by Brooke Lynn Hytes from “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” entertainers from Piranha Nightclub, and talent from Strip productions, including “Celestia,” “Magic Mike Live,” “Legends in Concert” and the Tenors of Rock. Throughout the night, attendees were treated to a variety of food and beverages provided by Pink Taco, Oyster Bar, BonaBatiste, Caked Cupcakes, Doughp, Dunkin’ Donuts, Hard Rock Pastry Department, Tito’s Vodka, Malibu, Beefeater, Altos Tequila and The Long Drink. Event proceeds, which totaled nearly $130,000, will help fund AFAN programs that benefit those living with or affected
by HIV/AIDS.
