BREATHE FASHION BENEFIT

Glitz and glamour were on display at the Breathe Fashion event June 2 at M Resort.

The American Lung Association in Nevada’s fundraiser began with the VIP Legacy Mixer, a cocktail reception and interactive silent auction.

KLUC’s Chet Buchanan did double duty as the gala’s emcee and auctioneer for the live auction.

Former U.S. Rep. Shelley Berkley received the Legacy Award for her support and commitment to the association.

The chief executive officer and senior provost for Touro University Nevada’s Western Division has served as the corporate walk chairwoman for the annual Lung Force Walk and is a current board member.

The evening’s grand finale was the fashion show featuring models wearing men’s designs by Stitched and womens wear by local designer Ermelinda Manos.

Manos dedicated her collection of original fashions to two uncles who had lung cancer. Crystal Reardon and Henry Clay were selected to walk the runway as mission models with Reardon walking in memory of her father and respiratory therapist Clay walking for his patients.

The 340 guests at the “All that Glitters is Gold” themed benefit raised more than $155,000 to support local programs, research and education.
