Celebrate Israel Las Vegas

More than 4,000 people marked Israel’s 70 years of independence at the Celebrate Israel festival at The Venetian on April 22.

Those attending filled the Palazzo Ballroom for the event presented by the Israeli American Council Las Vegas.

Face painting, animal rides, arts and crafts and arcade games entertained children while teens rode the waves on a surfer simulator, and then hit the slopes of the ski simulator.

Attendees snacked on kosher foods, posed for photos in front of the inflatable 70, and shopped at the Israeli Market Place, where vendors displayed jewelry, Judaica and art.

The program included a march of flags, performances by local Jewish choirs, and the a cappella group the Maccabeats.

Entertainment by Roni Dalumi, Nadav Guedj and DJ Shai Peri had the crowd on their feet dancing and clapping along at the event sponsored by the Adelson Family Foundation and Sands Cares, among others. Luxury magazine is owned by the family of Las Vegas Sands Corp. Chairman and CEO Sheldon Adelson.

Among the first set of headliners at Kaos, Cardi B sang until 4 a.m.
Guests at the eighth anniversary celebration gathered under the boughs of “Absinthe’s” Electric Oak art installation, which has 120,000 LED leaves that change color to music.
The meal included ladybug cake pops.
