Dessert before Dinner Gala

Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada held their 10th Anniversary Dessert Before Dinner gala on September 15 at Caesars Palace.

The event, attended by 760 people, began with 10 top female pastry chefs from the Strip putting their gourmet spins on classic Thin Mint cookies.

The evening’s program honored 10 outstanding female leaders in the Las Vegas community, whose vision, influence and example define what it means to be a Girl Scout: leading a life of courage, confidence and character.

This year’s honorees were Dena duBoef-Roth, Amy Hooks, Emily Jillette, Katy Jones, Captain Sasha Larkin, Katie O’Neill, Anna Robins, Stella Roy, Dr. Candace Spann and Stephanie Wilson.

The event raised $800,000 to support programs of the Girl Scouts.
