Score one for the kids

The first “Battle For Vegas Charity Softball Game” knocked it out of the park June 15, raising $136,000 for the Tyler Robinson Foundation. The game, hosted by Vegas Golden Knights right winger Reilly Smith, included performances by Imagine Dragons, Wayne Newton and country singer Sierra Black. Fans at the sold-out Las Vegas Ballpark watched Smith’s team go up against Marcus Allen’s team, headed by the former
Raiders running back and Pro Football Hall of Famer. The two star-packed teams battled for bragging rights and to raise money for the nonprofit, created by the Robinson family and the Grammy-winning Imagine Dragons, to help support children with cancer and their families. Zappos for Good offered $1,000 for every run scored during the game, which included professional athletes, celebrities and media members. Team Marcus Allen won 20-16.
