The Las Vegas Philharmonic celebrated opening night of their 21st season in September at The Smith Center with a concert and masquerade-themed after- party. The orchestra performed Pictures at an Exhibition by Mussorgsky, Anna Clyne’s Masquerade and guest artist Francesca Dego’s breathtaking rendition of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto. Dego’s captivating performance received a standing ovation. Pre-concert activities included complimentary bites provided by DW Bistro, a mask-decorating station, character actors and more. At the Masquerade Ball following the performance, 100 guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, desserts, wine, beer and cocktails along with other entertainment and the opportunity to mingle with the musicians, Music Director Donato Cabrera and Dego.
It was the perfect high note to begin the season.
