Wine, women and shoes

St. Jude’s Ranch for Children held its annual Wine Women & Shoes fundraiser recently at Green Valley Ranch Resort. About 350 guests enjoyed wine tasting, food and shopping for a good cause.

The nonprofit selected Lori Nelson, vice president of corporate communications for Station Casinos, as this year’s honoree. During the fashion show, models sashayed on the catwalk in stylish gowns and ensembles by fashion designer David Tupaz.

The event was hosted by Chet Buchanan of KLUC-FM 98.5, and included a performance by cast members from “Aussie Heat,” appetizers by Bottiglia, Tides and Borracha, and a marketplace with jewelry, shoes, wine and handbags.

More than $100,000 was raised to support programs for abused and neglected children and homeless children and youth in Southern Nevada.
