Something’s Brewing: Wolfgang Puck’s Cucina and Crafthaus brewery pair up for dinner

Wolfgang Puck and his team have asked Henderson’s CraftHaus Brewery to help launch the new Cucina Brew dinner series on Nov. 6 at Puck’s Crystals restaurant Cucina. This is the latest incarnation of an evolving dinner series that’s been held at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill in Downtown Summerlin for the past three years. It began as a wine dinner, which later morphed into the Sommelier Smackdown, then a string of beer dinners and eventually became the Grill Gathering.

“We were just trying to find fun reasons to bring people together with food and drink, where we incorporate some of our chefs from the Strip, bring them out to the neighborhood restaurant … and have a fun experience that’s kind of off the cuff,” says executive chef Dustin Lewandowski.

After two successful Grill Gathering dinners in the suburbs in September and October, the chef wanted to try a new locale.

“We decided it would be kind of fun to introduce some of our Summerlin clients to some of our Strip restaurants, and Cucina was a good one. And we had a team there that was interested in working with CraftHaus Brewery.”

The dinner by chef Daniel Stramm will be casual, with stations and passed dishes such as stout-braised agnolotti and wild mushroom pizzas on a dough made with spent brewer’s grain. $65,
