All decked out

Playing cards are such a common sight in Las Vegas it’s easy to overlook the beautiful patterns, pips and primary color palette. Leave it to Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana to remind us all in grand fashion with their Spring 2018 collections, which featured many ensembles and accessories emphasizing the symmetry and symbolism of the centuries-old game.

The women’s and men’s collections featured suits of suits, Queen of Hearts crowns and whimsy in spades.

At her eponymous boutique at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, British designer Charlotte Olympia has a playful collection of card-inspired accessories designed exclusively for Las Vegas, including a satin “Queen of Hearts” clutch and platform sandals embellished with crystal-studded symbols.

Lucky us.

Among the first set of headliners at Kaos, Cardi B sang until 4 a.m.
Guests at the eighth anniversary celebration gathered under the boughs of “Absinthe’s” Electric Oak art installation, which has 120,000 LED leaves that change color to music.
The meal included ladybug cake pops.
