POWDER PLAY

Women have powdered their noses and shadowed their eyelids for centuries — now it’s the lips’ turn. CLE Cosmetics introduced its innovative Melting Lip Powders at last year’s CosmoProf beauty convention in Las Vegas. Formulated in South Korea with bamboo, blueberry and other botanical extracts, the delicate particles of color become a creamy tint when exposed to friction or moisture.

Its velvety texture and matte finish import a subtle, natural glow that lasts for hours. Available in eight shades (we’re partial to Desert Rose, a just-bitten mauve shade), that can also be used on the cheeks as blush. ($20, clecosmetics.com) Chanel also introduced three Poudre à Lèvres as part of its Spring 2018 makeup collection. Each comes a clear setting balm and two applicators so you can build the pigment from sheer to shocking. ($37, chanel.com)
